"Our state’s highest court should be a firewall that protects individual rights and freedoms. It is quite literally Ohioans’ last stop for justice. Today, some powerful partisan interests want to turn the Supreme Court into a rubber stamp for their extreme agenda. My career – first as a litigator arguing complex and nuanced cases, and now as an appellate court judge –has uniquely prepared me to defend the court from these attacks. I have steeped myself in the law and approach each case with an eye toward fairness, facts and faithful application of the law.  The Ohio Supreme Court must continue to perform its key function as a check and balance. If elected, I will be an independent and fair jurist, and work every day to keep that firewall in place to protect your rights. I take that role seriously and so should you."
