Registering to Vote
Are you registered to vote? In order to be eligible to vote in this November's General Election, you must register to vote on or before Monday, October 7. Confirm your voter registration here.

Voting Early by Mail
All Ohio voters are eligible to vote early by mail by requesting an absentee ballot. Early voting starts on Tuesday, October 8. Fill out online or print out the form to request a vote-by-mail application. Once you receive your mailed ballot, please fill out it and return it ASAP. It must be postmarked by the day before the Election or you can return it in person to your Board of Elections.
Voting Early in Person
All Ohio voters - you can vote early in person starting 30 days before the elections! For a full list of times and dates you can check your local Board of Elections.
Voting on Election Day
Remember all voters must bring identification to the polls. Polling locations may have changed since the last election, so please confirm where you vote if you plan to vote in person on Election Day.
If you requested and received an absentee or vote by mail ballot, you must request a provisional ballot if you vote in person.

ID Requirements
There are several types of valid photo identification.

Ohio driver's license;

State of Ohio ID card;

Interim ID form issued by the Ohio BMV;

A US passport;
-
A US passport card;
-
US military ID card;
-
Ohio National Guard ID card; or

US Department of Veterans Affairs ID card
All photo IDs must have the following:

An expiration date that has not passed;

A photograph of the voter;

The voter’s name, which must substantially conform to the voter’s name as it appears in the Poll List or in the Poll Book
NOTICE: An unexpired Ohio Driver License, State ID Card, or Interim Documentation with your former address IS an ACCEPTABLE form of ID when your current address is in the pollbook.
